REPOP 68C DOOR DOVETAILS

I went and purchased a pair of repro dovetails for my 68C from Bratton's. I am planning on purchasing another set from Bert's since he emailed me about them a while ago. The set from Bratton's are close, but are about 1/16" too thick. The top, bottom and inside edge are tipped over 90 degrees like the original. The problem is they did not take enough material off and that make the face stick too far in the jamb and does not allow the one extended edge to come close to flush with the door jamb.

The original is to the left. Notice how you can see the repro edge above the edge of the original.

The radius of this been is not as tight as the original.

If they had made these 3 edges to the correct size the dove tail open edge would have fit properly. As you can see they did get these bends correct.

The countersinks for the screws are also not as sharp and crisp as the factory. There are some differences from the factory design in the construction unrelated to fit and form. I do not see this differences as being a problem. Overall it appears real close to the originals. It seems to me they are only a few seconds more on the belt sander from being quite useable. That will have to wait until I test them functionally.
